Tenderness is all

I wonder what would become of her

If we had not entered into her world

Her kids largely stepping aside

Troubled by their own paths of life.

We just had to do something

To care for this tender spirit

I have nothing but good memories

Of our times over the years.

So hours of calls sorting it out

Is what I will do for her care

Until the day she is with us

And many changes ensue for us three.

In the meantime we will find

The meals, the services she needs

Oh to care for a loved one far away

Would be easier if I could just run over . . .
